3D artist Raphael Jones is set to become the new artistic director of the Oscars.
Jones will take the reins after DiCaprios departure.
He will take on the position after he left the role of CEO of Viacom’s film and television division.
Jones was nominated for Best Directing at the 57th Academy Awards.
He also has an Oscar for Best Film Editing.
Jones has been working with the Oscar-winning filmmaker on projects including “The Shape of Water” and “The Revenant.”
He’s also worked on the Oscar nominated feature “The Theory of Everything,” which will be released in 2018.
Jones previously worked with DiCapro on the film “Pineapple Express,” which was released in 2015.
Jones’ last film, “Loving Vincent,” was released back in 2011.
He has directed three other films, including the Oscar and Golden Globe-nominated “The King’s Speech,” which earned a Best Picture nomination for director Alejandro González Iñárritu.
